The team where working hard on full court defense keeping the recently demoted team from Division 2 in their first game of the season at Division 3 level with within 2 points. Kings 4 v Storm 6.

Both teams came back to the floor wanting the win, brad scored from the technical Foul awarded to Storm and Reece scored off the offense that followed. Joe found the back of the net to bring the score almost level again, Brad added a further 2 to the teams total before the team went to the bench for half time with the score Kings 11 v 19 Storm.

Wayne and Reece both where awarded fouls, whilst players from storm who were in the act of shooting at the time of the fouls, where able to add a further 2 points to their total from the 4 free throws given. Brad was fouled in the action of shooting but was not able to get the ball to drop from the line. Brad soon made up for this and scored a minute later. Kings where working hard on defense but could not stop Storm's number 25 on the fast break from scoing, joe and brad added further points to the teams total, but Storm where begging to pull away. At the end of the 3 quarter the scores where Storm 32 v 19 Kings.

Kings returned to the floor for the final 10minutes showing strength and courage in their commitment but they were unable to stop storm fast breaks and fatigue was beginning to set in.

Reece was the only player to find the basket and score despite the team putting up 10 shoots. A challenging match with much to learn from playing a team who last season had played at a higher level. The final score was Storm 60 v Kings 21.
