In case you missed it - Saturday was the first fixture round for British Wheelchair Basketball Lord's Taverners Junior League in Bracknell - The Kings where one of the 6 teams forming the Super Duper - South All Stars.... It was great to see so many young faces being so competitive!

It's just 2 weeks until the Kings Division Three team head onto the court to do battle!! - with the season kicking off in style on the 28th October against Swansea Storm Wheelchair Basketball Club at Kennet Leisure Centre.
This year's Division Four teams have been announced with fixtures coming soon - Kings will be playing Swansea Storm 2, Sportable Rockets 2 and Exeter Otters 2. Full details including fixture dates will be provided once they are confirmed.
Kings were apart of Thatcham Festival with Deputy Mayor of Thatcham Cllr Jan Cover and Cllr Dan Carter joining us during a training session, alongside Thatcham Photography Club taking photos, We also spoke with Dan who helps run Thatcham Youth and Kings will be making a return appearance for the youth clubs soon - so watch this space!
Kings founder, Jacqueline Scoins-Cass Mbe is up for not one but two awards this week as she has been shortlisted for a Pride of Reading Awards for Volunteer of the Year. and a European Diversity Awards for Hero of the Year.
Our awesome fundraiser and Table Official Vicki Thomas the self-confessed non-runner is still looking for sponsorship as she is challenging her self to train and run a 5k in aid of the club! (Thank you, Vickie) - You can sponsor here on her Localgiving.com page.

Tomorrow (7th October) and Next Saturday (14th October), The Kings will be involved with Thatcham Festival and we are offering a FREE Have-A-Go-Session between 12-2pm at Kennet Leisure Centre in Thatcham.
Come along and jump into a chair, we will teach you the basics including chair control, ball control and shooting.
