Already having played Celts at the beginning of the season the Kings looked to improve on the performance from that game to give the Celts a tenser match up. The first quarter saw the Celts take an early 2 point lead which then saw Kings add their first 2 points of the game through Peter. Joe then added 2 more to the total and that saw the Celts put much more pressure on with some great defensive work and baskets seeing them take the first quarter 12-4.
The second quarter saw Celts score another early basket only to be cancelled out by a three point shot from Brad. The Kings added 6 more points to their total through Reece but the Celts continued with their high court pressure which proved difficult for the Kings to breakdown and the Celts continued their scoring with the score ending 26-13 at half time.
The third quarter saw an early basket from Peter and from then saw the Kings improve much more defensively keeping the Celts scoring down. A basket from Joe and another three pointer from Brad added another 5 points to the total for Kings but the Celts found the basket more towards the end of the quarter scoring another 6 points in the last 4 minutes to add to their 4 in between the Kings points taking the quarter 10-7 and the game as so far 36-20.
The final quarter was again a much better display defensively from the Kings only allowing the Celts to score their first points in the sixth minute, before that Reece was unlucky with two three throw attempts but converted 2 more points later in the quarter. In the last couple of minutes fatigue set in for the kings who tried but began to struggle keeping up with the Celts fast breaks seeing them score another 10 points in the final four minutes. Overall a much improved performance from the Kings from the first game but the Celts was a very strong team and took the game 46-22.
