Despite facing adversity as an injured jockey with head injuries and a T4/5 complete spinal injury since March 2008, Wayne's resilience knows no bounds. 💪 But that's not all – he's also a force to be reckoned with on the wheelchair basketball court! 🏀
Today, Wayne embarks on an incredible journey as he pushes a wheelchair for 26.2 miles in the London Marathon, all in support of Spinal Research, one of the UK's leading medical charities dedicated to the repair and restoration of the spinal cord. 🏥

🏀 What an electrifying day at the first round of the Inspire League! The spring sunshine blessed us as we witnessed some jaw-dropping wheelchair basketball action. Three intense games filled with competitive spirit as these players showcased their skills and passion for the game. 🙌
A massive shoutout to Hurst Leisure Centre for graciously hosting us today! Without your support, this event wouldn't have been possible. 🙏 And a special thank you to Bulmershe School for their generous charity contributions from their Christmas Jumper Day, raising an impressive £349 to cover our costs. 🎉
Let's not forget to express our gratitude to the referees, table officials, and even the spontaneous participant from BWB who hopped into a chair at one point! Your dedication and support are truly appreciated. 👏
Huge thanks to Arrows and Ballers for travelling to us. We hope you had a safe journey back! 🚗

🏀 Don't miss out on the action-packed wheelchair basketball showdown this Saturday, April 20th! Join us at the Hurst Leisure Centre in Tadley for an exciting event featuring teams from Kings, Ballers, and Arrows as part of the Inspire a Generation Wheelchair Basketball League.
🌟 British Wheelchair Basketball’s Inspire a Generation programme aims to create fun and recreational opportunities for everyone to get involved in wheelchair basketball, promoting increased participation and a sustained active lifestyle.
🕙 The games tip-off at 10:20 AM with Kings vs. Arrows, followed by Arrows vs. Ballers at 12:20 PM, and concluding with Kings vs. Ballers at 2:20 PM. Don't miss a minute of the action!
📍 Hurst Leisure Centre, Brimpton Rd, Baughurst, Tadley RG26 5NN

excited to annouce that from next month we will be offering disability scuba basketball! We are one of four clubs competing in THE disability scuba basketball (dsbl) league.
the DATE of the first competiton weekend will be annouced soon!
